in remote bays and inlets throughout New Zealand. |

Growing
areas are carefully monitored to ensure no product containing
shellfish toxins is harvested, as well as to ensure compliance
with international water quality standards by the New Zealand
Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Ministry of Health. |

Mussels
are harvested and trucked to the processing plant without delay
where they are graded and packed live or converted to a V2 shell
frozen product which is lightly steamed and snap frozen to maintain
flavour and texture. |
